journey to otaku-hood

first anime I've seen but didn't know it was anime

Back when I was a child, I used to watched Dragon Ball. I remember I also liked to watch Detective Conan, and even getting just the DC-themed puzzle toys from a fast food restaurant made me really happy. Unfortunately, I don't watch them anymore as an adult.

first anime I decided to watch properly

At first I didn't wanna watch any anime (despite having watched them during childhood). My friend kept on insisting to give it a try and maybe I might like it. So, I came across a clip of Elfen Lied on social media. It was the part in which Lucy slaughters everyone she comes across in the facility where she was being kept.
I thought "What is this murderous overpowered naked girl? I love it!"

point of no return

The anime that touched my heart first (lol sounds cheesy) was Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. I loved the relationships between characters, the developments whether they were big or subtle, the music, the action, and many more.

currently

From the gore stuff, to action, to ecchi, I now like comedy, drama, and most especially slice of life. After all, anime is my escape from reality. I would want to watch something I can relate to and peaceful. Although, I occasionally still like action.
